When we purchase fuel, we are assessed various fees per gallon from the oil companies. These fees include “NORA Assessment,” “Special Spill Tax,” “Oil Liability Trust Fee” and “Leaky Underground Storage Tax.” The RCC of $4.99 per transaction offsets these fees. Additionally, this fee is used to offset mandated costs incurred to safely train employees and to safely transport hazardous fuels.

Selecting a third party of your choice

If for any reason you are unable to respond to a notice that your heating fuel deliveries might be terminated because of an unpaid bill, our firm provides a way to make sure that someone else – a "third party" – will also be notified.
